ABOUT

Warriors, Rogues and Wizards is a simple fantasy turn-based tactics game made with HTML5. The game features retro pixel-art, turn-based gameplay and simple tactical combat. You control a three-man party of adventurerers – a warrior, a rogue and a wizard – facing various adversaries in various lands and earning lots of gold. Defeat your enemies, gain gold and improve your party for the next contest.

There are three buttons on the bottom of the game screen with the portraits of the warrior, the rogue and the wizard. Pressing one of these buttons starts an attack - one attacker from the player party and, one attacker from enemy party randomly chosen. Alternatively you can use keyboard numerical keys 1, 2 and 3.

The game combat system features rock-paper-scissors mechanic: melee characters beat ranged/flying characters, ranged/flying characters beat spellcaster characters and spellcaster characters beat melee characters. Each attack reduces party strength (green and red flag) depending on the power relationship between the attackers. When you run out green flags (top left of the screen), you will lose; if red flags (top right of the screen) of an enemy party run out, the enemy party will lose.

After every victory you will earn an amount of gold which you can spend to buy more green flags or more luck for the next combat. Luck allows you to see enemy's character choice (red square on an enemy character) and to deal extra damage randomly.

CONTROLS

Key 1 - Choose the warrior (buy more green flags in victory menu)
Key 2 - Choose the rogue (buy more luck in victory menu)
Key 3 - Choose the wizard (continue in victory menu)

Hi, some feedback for the game :)

So I was really confused on how to play this game. It isn't clear who is battling who. Maybe add some instructions and more clear indicated through UI or animations. The game looks alright, it's just not clear. Maybe in a future update work on that and add a sound system? some sound effects and music would add a lot to the game. Keep up the good work :)

If you want me to  play test an update or a new game release of yours, contact me here on itch or on my discord. My discord link is in my profile page.

Hi, thanks for the feedback :)

So I have developed this game without much design in two weeks. Some extra animations and sound effects would be good to make the gameplay more clear. A future update is a about to come in time, and some play test would be good.

Yes, I could use extra feedback from your play testing.
