Dungeon Crawler Demo
A simple first-person dungeon crawler demo made with Unity3d. The game mixes video game genres of point-and-click adventure, action-adventure and RPG. You are playing as an anonymous adventurer trapped in a dungeon and you are seeking a way to escape. Currently the game has no further plans like the game design, story, characters or lore. It would require a talented team. The game might still have some bugs and clitches.
Feedback is appreciated :)

- Move the play cursor to the top of the screen to open the top bar. From there you can see your character portrait, your inventory items and your stats. Moving the play cursor off of this bar make it slide back up.
- You can examine your equipment and items by right-clicking them. Press and hold Right Mouse to display the description for longer period of time.

- Your morale will drain when you are in darkness and when you have low health. Your morale will drain also on unsuccessful acts, like failed lockpicking and bluffing.
- When your morale is low, you have random chance to miss your hit (20%), you are more vulnerable to taking damage and your stamina regen is slower.

COMBAT TIPS:
- When weapon equipped, click Left Mouse to perform fast attack, hold and release Left Mouse to perform Power Attack.
- You can attack from three directions in melee combat: left, right and overhead. Try to vary your attack directions to make it harder for your enemy to block your attacks.
- You can interrupt your enemy attacks by attacking at the same time.
- You can try to push enemies by moving into them. The higher your Strength, the more likely your push will success.
- Equipping a shield will help to avoid getting damaged most of the time with the cost of Stamina.
- Magic staves have no ammo unlike ranged weapons. Instead they use your life force: first your Stamina, then your Health.
- You can throw various objects like rocks and equipment at the enemies.
- You can try to use portcullis as guillotines and crates as hindrance.
- Strength affects melee damage, Dexterity affects missile damage and Intellect affects magical ranged damage.

Nice job, but couldn't get past the first skeleton. I think you need to work on balance. Bugs prevent from getting a full experience from the game, I think you can remove them.
It would be nice if the game had its own short plot, you could also work on the lighting.
Overall I liked this game, keep up your work!
Hello and thanks for the Feedback :)
Did you try to get pass the skeleton by other means than fighting? Yes, this still needs extra fixing and balancing, and this all needs some extra hands. I agree that a good story would be good with npcs and perhaps with different endings. It also needs extra hands to be made.
Looks pretty good and I would like to play through what you have made so far but I can't get past the first skeleton due to input bugs. Basically the keyboard input only seems to work intermitantly. Sometimes it will register if I press a button several times, sometime things seem to be completely disabled. For example I can often not use R to toggle into attack mode even if I was able to do it earlier.
Also, I found lockpicks and several keys that seem suitable to open the locked chests but there is no prompt to try them when interacting. I can't see that I am holding them either, is there an inventory screen/window for that sort of equipment?
Lastly as suggestion. I am playing the browser version of your game on a Mac laptop using a trackpad. I'm left handed and so find WASD plus trackpad controls uncomfortable. I appreciate you including support for the arrow keys to move. How about making Shift + left and right arrow keys turn left and right?
Hello and thanks for the feedback :)
Yes, the input need some fixing for faster registration.
There is an inventory panel which you can open by moving your mouse cursor to the top of the screen. I will add a popup animation to this panel for picking up items. It would make more clear where the items are stored.
I'm also going to adjust the arrow keys. I was thinking about up and down for forward and backward movement, and right and left keys for turning, if it would be a good compromise.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. Yes, it has been much work when only one person has been made this. What kind of bugs did you run into?
First impressions:
That third point probably needs some elaboration. Managed to figure out how to break open the crate (basically by accident), tried to pick up the wand, no indication at all of what it should do. Tried dropping it into inventory slots - none of them worked. Any time I dropped it it dropped in a location where I couldn't see it, and had to walk all around it trying from different angles until I found a position where it didn't say "too far".
Hello and thanks a lot for the feedback :)
I have made some fixes and the interaction system should work better now, so it should not have much “too far” issues. And I have improved drag and drop system for weapons and armor so that you can now equip them by dragging to the equipment slots in the bottom panel. You will drop your equipment the front of your feet, and you should see them by looking down with right mouse button.
Oh right, there was a "free look" control. I didn't even think to use it to pick up the things I'd dropped. I actually saw that, tried looking around briefly, didn't see the point (and it was hard to use from my laptop because my touchpad isn't really good for "right drag") so completely forgot about it.
I'll give it another shot later (and maybe plug my mouse in) and see how it feels!
Yes, it is meant for PC with keyboard and mouse controls. Another play test would be welcome :) I have made bug fixes and other improvements so far.
